I left my father's old Longines with them — a watch from the 1960s that hadn't run properly in years. They explained everything they found before starting, sent photographs along the way, and returned it keeping time within a few seconds a day. The whole process took about six weeks and felt considered from start to finish.

I have lived in Phuket for four years and tried two other repair shops before finding Sawat. The difference in how they communicate about the work is significant. They told me clearly what needed doing and why, and the movement service on my Seiko came back running noticeably better than it has for years. Honest people doing careful work.

I came in for a simple strap adjustment and they noticed the crown was also showing early signs of wear. They pointed it out without any pressure to fix it immediately, and I appreciated the honesty. The adjustment itself was quick and priced fairly. I did come back for the crown a few weeks later.

My Omega had been keeping poor time for about two years. I had put off doing anything about it because I wasn't sure who to trust with it. A friend suggested Sawat and I'm very glad he did. Three weeks later it came back running within two seconds a day, with a clear summary of what had been done. Worth every baht.

Singapore (visiting)
I was on holiday in Phuket with a vintage Tissot that had stopped running. Found Sawat through a friend's recommendation. The staff were easy to talk to, explained the options clearly, and arranged for the watch to be sent back to Singapore when the service was done. Everything went smoothly and the watch arrived well-packed. Would use them again.

Brought in an old dress watch that belonged to my grandfather. I was nervous about the restoration because I didn't want anything changed without my say. Krit and the team were genuinely attentive — they consulted me at every step. The result is a watch that looks like it did in old family photographs. Careful, patient work.

Three watches, three stories
The Situation
1968 Longines, family heirloom
A watch worn by a grandfather throughout his working life. It had not run for twelve years and showed significant dust and oxidation inside. The owner wanted it returned to working order without altering its aged appearance.
What We Did
Full sentimental restoration. Movement completely disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and reassembled with new mainspring and a replacement balance staff. Case cleaned carefully by hand to preserve the natural patina. Crystal replaced to match original period-correct style.
The Outcome
Watch running at +4 seconds/day across positions. Patina intact. Owner received full photograph record from each stage. Timeline: 6 weeks. The owner described the collection as "one of the most meaningful days I have had in a long time."
"I thought it was gone forever. Getting it back running — and looking exactly as I remember it — meant more than I can easily say."
— Arthit P., Bangkok
The Situation
1980s Seiko automatic, daily wearer
A Seiko 5 worn for over twenty years, last serviced at some point in the early 2000s. Running approximately minus eight minutes per day and difficult to wind. The owner was unsure whether it was worth repairing.
What We Did
Movement service. Full disassembly revealed dried-out lubricants and a weakened mainspring. All parts ultrasonically cleaned, mainspring replaced, keyless works (winding mechanism) addressed, movement reassembled and regulated.
The Outcome
Watch regulated to within +2 seconds/day. Winding mechanism working correctly. Timeline: 3 weeks. The owner, who had nearly bought a replacement, returned the following year for a light service and described it as running better than it ever had.
"I nearly just bought another watch. I'm very glad I didn't. It runs perfectly now and I appreciate it much more for having had it properly looked after."
— Marcus K., Phuket
The Situation
Vintage Tissot, sent from Singapore
A 1970s Tissot Seastar stopped working during a visit to Phuket. The owner needed to return to Singapore before any work could begin and was unsure whether shipping a watch cross-border was practical.
What We Did
Movement service with remote communication. Assessment completed on arrival, findings shared by email with photographs. Owner confirmed scope remotely. Movement serviced over three weeks. Watch packed securely and returned via tracked courier.
The Outcome
Watch returned to Singapore within four weeks of original drop-off. Running at +3 seconds/day. Total shipping cost agreed in advance. Owner reported it arrived well-packed and in excellent condition, and has since referred two colleagues.
"The whole thing worked far more smoothly than I expected. Clear communication throughout, no surprises, and the watch arrived exactly as described."
— Rachel H., Singapore
